Wayne’s Appliance & Furniture Donates 37” HDTV to Annual Hospice Raffle
Hospice of Randolph County holds a special raffle each fall in correlation with its Annual Auction & BBQ event. In years past, the organization has raffled off a gas grill; however, this year the item to win is a 37” VIZIO LCD HDTV, donated by Wayne’s Appliance & Furniture of Ramseur. “With all of the talk about the digital TV transition scheduled to take place in February of 2009, the ‘hot’ item to buy this year is an HDTV,” shared Jared Reeder, Information Services Manager with Hospice of Randolph County. “With this in mind, we decided to feature an HDTV for this year’s raffle. We are grateful to our long-time supporter, Wayne’s Appliance and Furniture, for donating this TV. The raffle enables everyone to support hospice by giving as little or as much as they can – hundreds of people purchasing raffle tickets at $1 or $5 really adds up to a large sum.”
Prices for raffle tickets are: 1 ticket for $1 and 6 tickets for $5. Tickets are now available on-line at www.hospiceofrandolph.org. (Only $5 option available online) Paper tickets are available by calling (336) 672-9300 or by visiting the Hospice campus at 416 Vision Drive in Asheboro. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Auction & BBQ event and at local fall festivals in the following cities: Archdale, Asheboro, Ramseur and Randleman. The drawing for the HDTV will be held at the Annual Hospice Auction & BBQ event, scheduled for Saturday, October 25 at Southwestern Randolph High School. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the patients and families served by Hospice of Randolph County.Celebrating 25 years of care (1983-2008), Hospice of Randolph County provides hospice, home health and grief support services to adults and children in Randolph and surrounding counties.
